UPDATE | July, 10 2006 -- Ludwig Lofts historic rehab to move forward in 2006
LoftWorks has the Ludwig Lofts building under contract and plans to move forward on the historic rehab sometime this year.

UPDATE | June, 05 2006 -- Alexander Lofts a 2006 "Most Enhanced Building"
The Landmarks Association of Saint Louis recognized the Alexander Lofts and The Spool Thread Building as one of the 11 "Most Enhanced Buildings" in St. Louis during National Preservation Week in May.

UPDATE | May 09, 2006 -- Missouri DED approves up to $625,000 in tax credits
The Missouri Department of Economic Development has approved up to $625,000 in Brownfield Redevelopment Program remediation tax credits to help offset costs involved in the cleanup of asbestos and lead-based paint for the Central Shoe Building.

The conversion of the building at 2201 Washington Avenue into 83 lofts tentatively known as the WestTown Lofts will now be called Motor Lofts. A sales center will open in the Altman Building at 2201 Washington Avenue on April 28th to begin accepting contracts with building occupancy planned for December 2006.

A national franchise restaurant has executed a letter of intent to anchor the retail space on the site. Additional retail space is available.
