Grand Center Inc. and Pyramid Construction will develop the old 8-story Metropolitan building on the northeast corner of Grand and Olive into 63 loft condos, with first floor retail and restaurant space. Prices start at $125,900. A new 130-space multilevel garage will be constructed on the existing parking lot at the east side of the building to accommodate parking for the residents as well as the retail businesses. Construction will begin in spring of 2006.

A national franchise restaurant has executed a letter of intent to anchor the retail space on the site. Additional retail space is available.
