The former Theresa School near Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, is one of 48 St. Louis schools designed by William B. Ittner. The building has undergone a $9 million gut rehab to transform it into 36 loft-style apartments. Amy and Amrit Gill of Restoration St. Louis, Inc. had purchased the building from the St. Louis Public Schools in 2004. The school was almost razed for a strip mall, which would have made it St. Louis' second William Ittner-designed to be lost.
