In 1998, Developers Dennis Norman and Peter Rothschild purchased the eight-story building at
1324 Washington Avenue for $265,000 from downtown developer Larry Deutsch, who had
applied for a demolition permit. Norman and Rothschild had planned to invest close to
$1.5 million to convert it to lofts.
The building is now owned by the McGowan Brothers Development; a family owned development
company that has been active in the Washington Avenue loft district. The building has taken
the name of Grace Lofts, and is to be a $6 million project calling for 24 rental units ranging
in rent between $1100 to $1700 per month.
The building is notable for its glazed brick facade with bas-relief concrete obelisks
loft apartments are planned on the upper floors, commercial space on the ground floor and
tenant parking in the basement.

Flannery's is a 3,000 square foot neighborhood pub and sports bar that offers 10 kinds of beer on tap, with
over 45 beers from the bottle, entertainment, dartboards, video games, and a 40-foot wall of televisions.
